QCTO GUIDE · 2026
QCTO Qualification Transition After 30 June 2026
Training providers should review the status of every programme in their scope rather than assuming that an older accreditation arrangement continues unchanged. The QCTO publishes current information for Skills Development Providers and programme categories.
What should providers check after the 30 June 2026 transition point?
Create a qualification register containing the qualification title, SAQA/QCTO identifier, programme type, accreditation status, delivery sites and supporting evidence. Review it whenever the regulator publishes a transition or status update.
How to use this guide
Start with the registered qualification or programme you intend to offer. Build an evidence matrix, assign responsibility for each item, check document validity and version control, and make sure the evidence can be demonstrated in practice. A strong application is not simply a collection of PDFs; it is a coherent operating system for delivering the programme.
Official QCTO reference
QCTO states that Skills Development Providers offering programmes and qualifications within the OQSF must seek QCTO accreditation and comply with the applicable minimum criteria. The official provider guidance also provides access to accreditation forms, criteria and programme information.
